This smash Off-Broadway begins at the 1958 Springfield High School Prom! Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy, and Suzy are four girls who have hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts!
Some of the story of their teenage lives and loves is told as they serenade their classmates (the audience) with classic 50s hits including Lollipop, Dream Lover, Stupid Cupid, and Lipstick on Your Collar.
In Act II, the story continues at the 1968 Springfield High School Ten-Year Reunion! The girls talk and sing through the highs and lows they have experienced in the past decade, with 60s hits including It's My Party, It's in His Kiss (The Shoop Shoop Song), Leader of the Pack, and Respect. All are charmed to find that no matter what life throws their way, they will conquer it together.
Featuring over thirty classic 50s & 60s hits, THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES keeps audience members smiling in this must-take musical trip down memory lane!
Please come 90 minutes before the show and celebrate summer as it winds down!
Remember the fabulous fifties and sixties? What a great time to get everyone dancing! We will have Sir Claude spinning the classic rock and roll hits for you to dance to! Wear your leather jackets and poodle skirts and start twisting or make it a hippie tie-dye fest and just watusi your way across the dance floor! Feel free to dress like you would "back in the day!" Classic cars will be on display and much more before our MARVELOUS WONDERETTES take us back to the 1958 senior prom! Come ready to go back in time and have fun as we experience those 1950s and 1960s golden carefree summer days!
