Possum Point Players Picture presents Hay Fever.
With a play set on a lazy weekend in June, Possum Point Players production of 'Noel Coward's Hay Fever' follows suit as they open the classic British comedy on Friday, June 3. However, those attending any of the performances June 3, 4, 5, 10, 11 and 12 will find that a lazy weekend at the country home of the Bliss family defies that definition.
Possum Point Players early summer production of 'Noel Coward's Hay Fever' sets the tone for warm, lazy days of the season where anything can happen. Opening Friday, June 3, this classic British comedy shows that anything and likely everything will happen when the well-heeled and slightly unhinged Bliss family gathers for a quiet weekend in their comfortable country home.
The shows must go on! And they will! The dates may go one way and another on the 2021 calendar as we navigate 2020, but the shows will go on at Possum Hall, home of Possum Point Players.
Possum Point Players have set a deadline of Friday, May 31, for applications to direct any of the five mainstage shows of the 2020 season. There are two application forms for potential directors, one for those who have directed shows at PPP before, and one for those seeking to be a first-time director with the players. Application forms may be downloaded from the PPP website, www.possumpointplayers.org., or obtained from Donna de Kuyper, Director Selection and Director Liaison Chair for Possum Point Players. Executive Administrator Dawn Conaway can also respond to requests for director applications by email, office@possumpointplayers.org, or by phone call to 302-856-3460.
