TITAS presents Remaining Six Dance Shows of the 2017/2018 Season

TITAS Presents, in association with the nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center, announced today that single tickets will go on sale Friday, November 10 at 10 a.m. The remaining six shows of the 2017/2018 season will feature the return engagement of the powerful and breathtaking imagery of France's HERVÉ KOUBI in January; Texas debuts in March with the funny, smart and thought-provoking LUCKY PLUSH and stunning choreography of L.A. DANCE PROJECT. May brings the jaw-dropping and awe-inspiring TITAS Presents annual event, COMMAND PERFORMANCE. And in June, the season culminates with the return of the celebrated contemporary ballet company, Alonzo King LINES BALLET and the exuberant, virtuosic and sexy PARSONS DANCE COMPANY.

The 2017/2018 TITAS Presents season features a bold and diverse lineup of international dance companies delivering an unprecedented roster of International Artists. TITAS Presents is attracting new audiences and developing new innovative programs and cultural collaborations.

The Box Office is open 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 90 minutes before performances - closed Saturdays and Sundays.

Two years ago, Compagnie Hervé Koubi debuted in Dallas with TITAS Presents and struck the audience speechless, that is until the standing ovation. A French male company with Algerian dancers, they are unique in our season. Fearless, powerful and masculine beyond belief, Hervé Koubi is a stunningly beautiful dance company.

Bold, masculine and exciting barely begin to describe Hervé KOUBI. Drawing from his Algerian roots, Hervé KOUBI's work combines capoeira, martial arts, urban and contemporary dance. Powerful and breathtaking imagery, this group of 12 male Algerian and West African dancers defying gravity.

A group of washed-up super heroes join forces to create a non-profit think tank but get caught up in the politics of branding and group dynamics. Fighting evil ain't what it used to be. This is the basis Trip the Light Fantastic: The Making of SuperStrip, Lucky Plush's newest creation. Funny, smart and thought provoking, Lucky Plush is a breath of fresh air in the dance world.

LUCKY PLUSH PRODUCTIONS is a Chicago-based dance theater company led by founder and Artistic Director Julia Rhoads. Lucky Plush is committed to provoking and supporting an immediacy of presence - a palpable liveness - shared by performers in real-time with audiences. A unique hybrid of high-level dance and theater, Lucky Plush's work is recognized for its layered choreography, moving content, surprising humor, and socially relevant storytelling.

Since 2000, Lucky Plush has created 30 original dance-theater works including 14 evening-length productions. In addition to regularly performing in Chicago, the company has presented work in over 40 US cities from Maine to Hawaii, and ts international partners span from New Zealand to Cuba.

Lucky Plush is the first and only dance company to receive the prestigious MacArthur Award for Creative and Effective Institutions, a recognition of the company's exceptional creativity and impact. Lucky Plush has also received awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, NEFA's National Dance Project, National Performance Network, Illinois Arts Council, Metlife Foundation, and the Lester and Hope Abelson Fund.

L.A. Dance Project (Texas Debut)

L.A. Dance Project, in five short years, has toured 11 countries and

34 cities and has established itself as a force to be reckoned with.

Great dancers, bold artistic vision and stunning choreography has

established L.A. Dance Project as one of the most exciting new

companies to burst onto the scene.

L.A. Dance Project, the brainchild of famed choreographer and

dancer, Benjamin Millepied, was founded in 2012, along with

composer Nico Muhly, art consultant Matthieu Humery, founding

producer Charles Fabius and composer Nicholas Britell. Their mission

is to create new work and to revive seminal collaborations from

influential dance makers. Programs include full-length evenings in

traditional theater venues as well as site specific performances in non-traditional environments. New works by the company endeavor to be multidisciplinary collaborations with visual artists, musicians,

designers, film directors and composers. L.A. Dance Project promotes

the work of emerging and established creators, contributing to new

platforms for dance.

Multiple artists from leading companies light up the stage with spectacular and surprising performances.
