No Boundaries Youth Theater will bring a "supercalifragilistic" musical to life as it produces Disney's Mary Poppins Jr. this month in Plainville. Based on one of the most popular Disney films of all time and the Broadway musical that played for over 2,500 performances, Disney's Mary Poppins Jr. is a 'practically perfect' musical experience for young actors and audiences of all ages.
As the company plans another summer musical theater program, No Boundaries Youth Theater (formerly New Britain Youth Theater) is going on the road to Plainville.
Entering its tenth year of producing quality performances and educational theater programs for children and teens in Connecticut, No Boundaries Youth Theater is proud to announce that longtime NBYT artistic staff member Nicki LaPorte will become the company's new Artistic Director.
Looking toward warmer days and school vacations, No Boundaries Youth Theater has announced programs and performances for April through July. Spring classes in acting (ages 5-14) and improv (ages 10-16) begin on Saturday, April 6. Eight-week terms end with a class performance open to family and friends. Younger children will learn about Japanese theater and stage folk tales from Japan that will teach the basics of theatrical story telling, character development, voice, and movement.
