Die Kölner Academie - Germany

The name complete of this group is the colon Academy - Orchestra of yesterday and today and as its extensive name suggests, focuses on the musical repertoire from the 17TH century to the present day, both in period instruments as modern, beside soloists of world-wide reputation. Many of his performances have been broadcast live and recorded for television. His first CD received numerous awards from magazines and this followed the project Forgotten Treasures that rescues unknown works by composers thrown into oblivion as Crusell, Danzi, Pichl, Vanhal, Wilms, Romberg, Neukomm, Fischer, Kunc, Jeanjean, D'Alvimare and Steibelt. In 2009 the Orchestra began recording of Mozart piano concertos all with pianist Ronald Brautigam for the Swedish label BIS.

Director Michael Alexander Willens - United States

His family has a long musical tradition linked to the theatre in yiddish (the language associated with the Jews of Central Europe and the East) because two of his grandparents played in that environment. This led him to be the singer in his synagogue, custom that during long years. He joined the famed music Juilliard School in New York, where he earned his degree in music and a master's degree. In the city of Cologne, he founded the Kölner Akademie, orchestral group that employs clasico-barrocos instruments to execute works of that repertoire as well as modern instruments to address the contemporary repertoire. Willens recorded for labels such as ARS-Produktion Germans.

Ronald Brautigam, Fortepiano - Netherlands

He began studying piano in Amsterdam and continued them in London and United States. Frequently appears as soloist, either the modern grand piano or pianoforte era, with groups such as the Concertgebouw, Philharmonic Orchestra of London and the BBC, Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic, Budapest Festival, national of France and the Leipzig Gewandhaus, between the modern groupings of running. And sets that run versions of time include the Kölner Akademie, Orchestra of the was of the Enlightenment, Tafelmusik, Orchestra of the 18th century, the Freiburg Baroque, the Hanover Band, Concerto Copenhagen and the Orchestra des Champs-Elysées, among others.
