Dobama Theatre presents the Midwest premiere of THE EFFECT by Lucy Prebble, directed by Laley Lippard

Winner of the 2012 UK Critics' Circle Award for Best Play

Connie and Tristan are volunteers in a clinical drug trial, but when they begin a sudden and illicit romance, they must ask themselves: is theirs a palpable chemistry—or is it a side effect of the new antidepressant being tested? As their relationship forces the supervising doctors to face off over the ethical consequences of their work, the story begins to unwind in a script that plays like a thriller.THE EFFECT is a steamy and scintillating drama filled with humor, intelligence, and suspense.

THE EFFECT features Olivia Scicolone, Derdriu Ring*, Ananias J. Dixon, and Joel Hammer*.
