Peter Pan is a fairytale of a profound theme about family affections and growth. The Children’s play Peter Pan aims to help adult find the childlike innocence, by displaying the greatness of maternal love and the happiness of growth to children in a joyful vibe. In order to perfectly present this work to audiences, the China National Theatre for Children creates a fantastic stage by multiple artistic means with many high technologies, including huge LED screen and multimedia design making the stage distinctive.

The 12-year-old girl Wendy is naive and kind. Scared of being an old-fashioned “maiden”, she chooses to fly to the mysterious fantasy island with flying boy Peter Pan, who never grows up. As long as she lives on the island, she will stop growing up like Peter Pan.

On the fantasy island, Wendy plays with the children of the Underground Family, dances with the mermaids on reefs, does her best to outwit Pirate Captain Hook, who always wants to hurt Peter Pan, and finally helps Peter Pan defeat Hook. While fighting against Hook, Wendy learns how to be considerate for others and undertake her due obligations. She is no longer afraid of growing up because growing up may be a new adventure.

Although Peter hates to part with Wendy. He sends her back home, he himself belongs to the fantasy island forever. In the following years, the little boy, who is unwilling to grow up, looks out of the window and pays a close attention on his old friends gradually grow up...
