Will Kempe's Players Announces Season And Auditions

During the summer of 2019 Will Kempe's Players will tour the greater Capital District's parks, colleges, and arts centers with a third season of al fresco Shakespeare classics and
contemporary drama.

A Midsummer Night's Dream-Shakespeare's fantasy of fairies, mortals, and magic-kicks off the season on June 21, the Summer Solstice and will be available in July. In August The Tragic History of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, Shakespeare's iconic revenge tragedy, opens and performs in repertory with Midsummer for the rest of the summer. And in the fall, the players will offer John Patrick Shanley's Doubt, a timeless tale of faith and the lack thereof.

According to Sandy Boynton, Will Kempe's Players' artistic director, "We present the
Shakespeare plays in the open air and the daylight-just as they were originally produced;
somehow using the old ways gives these old plays fresh life, immediacy, and startling
contemporary relevance."

Audition information is available below and at www.willkempesplayers.com/auditions. The schedule of performances-times and places-will be available on the website and on social media in the middle of May.
