The Music Academy, formerly known as the Music Academy of the West, and now in its 76th season, celebrates the “Summer of the Artist” with eight weeks of live events at its picturesque Miraflores campus and throughout scenic Santa Barbara, California (June 12–Aug 5). The 85th Tanglewood season will offer audiences a wide range of programs and events that spotlight favorite guest artists and repertoire, while introducing dynamic new performers, conductors, and composers, with 48 artists in their Tanglewood or BSO debuts, and works by 28 living composers, including world premieres and five BSO commissions.

The Boston Symphony Orchestra's Tanglewood Music Center (TMC) will be led this summer by Ed Gazouleas, a longtime TMC faculty member, a former member of the Boston Symphony, and Provost at the Curtis Institute of Music. The announcement was made this week by Jeffrey Dunn, the BSO's interim Eunice and Julian Cohen President and Chief Executive Officer.
