MUSICAL THEATRE SUMMER CAMP - CAMP INFORMATION

The camp centers on the creation of a full-scale revue of musical numbers from great Broadway shows.

Divided by age into small groups, the children take classes in singing, dancing, acting, costumes and stagecraft, taught by our staff of musical theatre professionals. Counselors guide each group through the day, giving every child constant attention and personal assistance. Over two weeks, students learn their songs, rehearse their scenes, make their costumes and build the set. The emphasis is on having fun, making friends and working together. On the final day, they present a free performance of their show for parents, relatives and friends.

Chesapeake Arts Camp Session 1:

The Camp takes place from June 29 - July 10, Monday through Friday. No camp Friday, July 3.

Drop-off is no earlier than 8:45 a.m. and pick-up is no later than 4:30 p.m.,

at the backstage entrance of the main theater.

There is one performance on the final day of the Camp at 12:30 p.m.

All students must be picked up by 2:00 p.m. after the performance on Friday, July 10.

Chesapeake Arts Camp Session 2:

The Camp takes place from July 13 - 24, Monday through Friday.

Drop-off is no earlier than 8:45 a.m. and pick-up is no later than 4:30 p.m.,

at the backstage entrance of the main theater.

There is one performance on the final day of the Camp at 12:30 p.m.

All students must be picked up by 2:00 p.m. after the performance on Friday, July 24.

Key School Camp:

The Camp takes place from July 27 - August 7, Monday through Friday.

Drop-off is no earlier than 8:45 a.m. and pick-up is no later than 4:30 p.m.,

at the gazebo next to the activity building.

There is one performance on the final day of the Camp at 12:30 p.m.

All students must be picked up by 2:00 p.m. after the performance on Friday, August 7.
