The return of an icon. We’re going back to the beginning to shake up your summer, forever.

Ever dream of standing or dancing in the spotlight? Or hearing an audience applaud on opening night? Can you see yourself on television or in the movies. ARTS4ALL was created just for kids like you who love theater and the performing arts!

ARTS4ALL is the program that launched Ocala Civic Theatre’s program for excellence in arts education. This summer we are bringing it back to celebrate how it all began and to provide a more comprehensive educational experience for our students as we move into the future.

Experience total theatre immersion with all the fun of summer camp as you join other young people with a passion for the arts and fill your summer with music, dance, art and theatre. Perfect your skills and learn new ones alongside soon-to-be lifelong friends.

At A4A, we don't just teach the arts, we teach our students how to use the arts to build a better life for themselves and those around them. The arts are a critical component of a well-rounded education. Arts education promotes interpersonal skills that are highly beneficial for a student’s success in school and the workplace. Skills that transcend just drawing, singing, dancing, and performing! The actual creation of art promotes mental and emotional dexterity and adaptability while instilling self-discipline, self-esteem and confidence. Through different mediums of art, students learn to communicate, cooperate, and collaborate.

The A4A difference…

A4A offers performers of all levels – beginner to advanced – a place to find expression and fulfillment on the stage and in the classroom. You decide: Musical or Drama? Art or Dance? Or both!

You will perform because everyone is cast in a show. You will learn from professional teaching artists including Directors, Choreographers, and Vocal Coaches with years of experience motivating and guiding young artists. The 2 shows this year are The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet and the 2012 Godspell.

The Experience…

It is our goal to give each and every student the experience of a lifetime over the course of the intensive. With education classes centered on top-notch training and personalized instruction our students grow and excel in a safe environment that is fun and challenging.

What makes it an intensive…

Our students engage in four different classes each day, including theatre/musical theatre, dance/movement, art and music.

Students choose a major and minor area of study. Then, each day our students attend:

• Two one-hour classes outside their chosen major and minor areas of study

• One 90 minute class in their minor area of study

• One two-hour class in their major area of study

Throughout the day, there are breaks, community sessions for all students to come together for creative play and to share their experiences, goals and encouragement.

Classes meet Monday – Thursday, 8:30am – 5:00pm.

The program runs Monday – Thursday June 10 – July 18th with the week of the 4th of July off and the play shows are July 15-17 and the full length musical is running July 19 – 21.

Program AUDITIONS: May 18th 10 am at Ocala Civic Theatre - to sign up and for more information contact Dani Moreno Fuentes at dmoreno-fuentes@ocalacivictheatre.com
