ALVERNIA - CAMP INFORMATION
Camp Type: Day Session Length: 12 days Camp Focus: Traditional Non-Arts Primary Arts Programming Avail

As a summer day camp for boys and girls, we’ve paid special attention to maintaining the culture and feel of an old-fashioned sleepaway camp, but with the proximity and convenience of a day camp!

Camp Alvernia is an 8-week day camp serving over 800 boys and girls aged 4-14, with a special focus on positive youth development. We offer a strong program tailored to each child’s age and gender, including a wide range of activities from major sports to swimming and sailing. Camp Alvernia is set in the woods of Suffolk County overlooking Centerport Harbor, providing a strong environment for our programs.

Our mission is to actively help develop each camper’s spiritual, moral, and physical advancement. In keeping with our Franciscan tradition, we provide a warm, caring environment with special attention toward serving our youth and promoting an environmental awareness. Camp Alvernia is open to all without regard to religion, race, or national origin.
