Artists with magnetic personalities teach families all about their musical traditions—including Mele Hawai'i led by Grammy Award winner, Kalani Pe'a; violinist and singer Layth Sidiq, illuminating traditions of Iraqi folk music; and Dominican Roots music, led by guitarist, vocalist, and composer Yasser Tejeda. Free pre-concert activities take place in Zankel Hall one hour before the performance.
