In this exciting new musical featuring the songs of Carly Simon, Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Tracy Chapman, Leslie Gore, Melissa Etheridge, Sara Bareilles, Ani DiFranco and many more contemporary songwriters, we meet Clara Schumann: a nineteenth century wife, mother, renowned performing artist, composer and teacher who redefined the role of a woman in her era. As her story unfolds, relationships, careers, and social change are all explored using the iconic music of today, bridging the gaps between past, present and future.
