Emma Woodhouse is handsome, clever and rich, an assertive heroine who is dominant and all too powerful. Her plans are kind, to improve and instruct the wide-eyed Harriet, albeit against her wishes.

Emma is fuelled by the concept of miscommunication. Love triangles, secrets, confusion and hurt feelings abound in this fanciful tale, detailing the ambiguity of opposites and the foibles of a life led by the imagination.

This faithful adaptation of the Jane Austen novel will transport you to the world of Regency England, in a picture-perfect setting. It is a social commentary still vitally relevant 200 years after its original telling.
