Arlington Childrens Theatre is thrilled to announce its Fall 2019 production of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Based on the beloved childrens book of the same name The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is a Christmas classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You wont believe the mayhem and the fun when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas story head on! This delightful comedy has become a holiday staple for groups across the United States. Featuring plenty of great roles, a few favorite Christmas carols, and a lot of laughs!What a touching, hilarious and fun way to ring in the holidays Adam Schuler, the new Artistic Director of ACT said. This show may focus on Christmas but it themes are of community, acceptance and joy are truly universal. ACTs The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is performed by a group of 31 area students ages 7 through 12 who bring the character of this town to life with such vibrancy and energy!The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is the second production in ACTs 2019-2020 season which explores the themes of community and identity. Next up from the Arlington- based non-profit will be the fun and quirky musical Seussical in March, Twelfth Night, The Wizard of Oz and a summer lineup featuring Frozen Jr and Newsies. Additionally, ACT has workshops, summer day and February/ April school vacation day programs. Performances will be on December 12th- 14th at 7p and December 14th at 2p. Directed by Kaylah Dixon with music direction by Jeffery Moises and choreography by Katrina Pavao and Assistant Directed and Stage Managed by Rebecca Minasian. All performances will be at the Trinity Baptist Church. Tickets are general admission and are $12.
