Anyone happen to catch this film yet? Just caught it today and can’t stop thinking about it. Unfortunately I haven’t read the book, but I plan on doing so now. This film was an emotional roller coaster. Aunjanue Taylor-Ellis gives a powerful performance and I can’t wait to watch more from her in the future.

I haven’t seen it yet, but fully intend to. Seems like Ava DuVernay back on top form. Ideally, I’d love busloads of MAGA-types to see this in the theater, but I think even someone like me who already considers themselves “woke” will learn something from it.

Apart from the whole social message, it seems like a really beautiful movie to see anyway.

I plan on seeing the film. I read the book and thought it was very good. I felt that I learned so much.  Then I decided to listen to the book on my walks and that experience was really amazing. Robin Miles narrates the audio book and she’s just fantastic.
