I just loved this show so much. I wish I could see it again before it closes but I won't be back in NYC before then. Congrats to all involved. It really had a great run for being the small little show that it is.

I just adored this show. Saw it three times. It was the perfect balm needed. All the best to cast, crew and creatives. I will get back for a 4th visit before April.

Tickets are not yet available for the final performance. Do we think the house will be reserved for friends/family of the show and any remaining tickets will be released to the public closer to closing? I was at the very first preview at The Atlantic and must have this full circle moment with the closing of this brilliant piece.

Tickets, as of now are sold out. They never took them off for sale.

From a Vulture article:

Sara Holdren: My friend who’s a mom was like, “I couldn’t handle seeing Mary Jane, so I took myself to Kimberly Akimbo before it closed and now I am broken.”

Jackson: That Kimberly emotional devastation is sneaky!

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Does anyone have a dream actor to portray Kimberly on the tour?

how perfect. Callaway or Kuhn are really the only two that could get me to see it again. Would be fun to watch Carmello belt the **** out of it.

I know it will never happen, but I can't think of a better role for Bernadette right now. No one screams "young girl stuck in older woman's body" more than Bernadette!!

"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022) "Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009) "Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
