Good riddance! Now if they would just get rid of MTG...I'm embarrassed to be from her state. (though not her district,thank goodness)

I can do you one worse, George Santos was my congressman.
Now, I’ve always been interested in local politics in my neck of the woods. I used to intern as well as volunteer in various campaigns of local Democrats. That may be the reason as to why I usually keep my ear to the ground in these sort of things.
Seeing as that the governor is involved in the special election, it’s looking likely that it will be a Democrat. I am thinking that Tom Suozzi. He was the congressman before Santos, departed Congress to run against Hocul and lost. He put his name in the ring to fill Santos’s seat. I believe ( to be honest, most of the info I have found was kinda confusing) That whoever wins the special election, will be filling in for the rest of what would have been Santo’s term with the ability to run on Election Day for their own term. Just like what happened when Cuomo stepped down.
