Detroit welcomed Julianne Hough and Derek Hough's Move - Beyond - Live On Tour to the Fox Theatre on April 23rd to a sold out crowd and the superstar dance duo put on quite the show! The Hough siblings and their troupe of dancers performed a non-stop, high-energy dance show with some special surprises throughout their two-hour performance.

Disney's The Lion King concluded a sold-out engagement on Sunday, February 26th at The Detroit Opera House where it had a triumphant four-week return that grossed over $6.8 million at the box office and entertained more 84,000 theatre goers during thirty-two performances. Theatre and Dance at Wayne is presenting the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Next to Normal from January 27th through February 12th at the Hilberry Theatre. The raw, rock-infused show has music by Tom Kitt with book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey and it follows Diana Goodman, a suburban mother grappling with worsening bipolar disorder. The show features two separate casts for this vocally challenging production, in which Diana will be played on alternative performance dates by both Devri Chism and Tiffany Michelle Thompson.

3C is an interesting piece of theatre taking the much-loved sitcom of Three's Company to the extreme with the highs and lows of the life of Brad, Connie, and Linda. The Ringwald is the first theatre in Michigan to present play by David Adjmi that will shock the audience, make them laugh, and creep them out just a little a bit.
Fun Home, the groundbreaking and Tony Award-winning Best Musical, arrives November 29th at the Fisher Theatre. "Most people have never seen anything like Fun Home, especially in the realm of musical theatre, because the telling of this story is exquisite," said Kate Shindle. "If you like good theatre, you should come see our show while we're in Detroit. There are going to be many other productions of more traditional musicals, but I think this is chances to see a really first-class production of something will challenge, excite, and hopefully move you."
