Jericho Thomas

JERICHO THOMAS is a writer, actor, teacher, director and theatre maker currently based in Tulsa, OK. His dramatic writing and research often focuses on performance through lenses of race, sex, and faith. He is proud to serve on the board of the Tulsa Latino Theatre Company. His play, Writes, was a 2017 Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference Semi-Finalist, and his play, Racy, was selected for the 2017 Phoenix Theatre Festival of New American Theatre. He has acted, directed, devised, and been produced in OK, MO, TX, NYC, AZ, and AK. He holds a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre–Dramatic Writing from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from The University of Oklahoma.

Eiffel in love. A quarter of the way through its second act, "An American in Paris" transforms from a golden-age dancebox musical into full-out modern musical theatre. The quintet of lovers at the heart of its story weave their raw, overlapping passions through three songs written by George and Ira Gershwin. And they do it all while barely moving. It's a welcome moment of stillness in an otherwise kinetic show.
