Jenny is a freelance stage manager, having graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London in 2010. Professional work includes: Wicked (UK tour), Our House & Merrily We Roll Along (Old Rep, Birmingham), War Horse (UK tour), The Lion King (UK tour), Spend, Spend, Spend & Just So (Birmingham Ormiston Academy), Godiva Awakes (Imagineer Productions), Wings of Desire (International Dance Festival Birmingham), Dick Whittington, Robin Hood, Aladdin, Cinderella and Jack & the Beanstalk (Solihull Arts Complex), Paul Daniels: Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow & Liberace: Live From Heaven (Assembly, Edinburgh Fringe Festival) and Little Shop of Horrors (Birmingham Rep Theatre). Predominantly Midlands-based, Jenny is also a keen writer in her spare time and frequently writes for Whatsonstage Central. She is proud to be part of the BroadwayWorld reviewers' team.

Here we are in the middle of June and we are already talking pantomime...but not just any pantomime. Today saw the launch of "Britain's BIGGEST pantomime" Robinson Crusoe and the Caribbean Pirates, taking place at the Birmingham Hippodrome from Saturday 15th December 2012 to Sunday 27th January 2013.

Porgy and Bess is an opera which, in the past, has predominantly been set in the 'Deep South', or more specifically South Carolina; highlighting African-American life in the 1920's. Cape Town Opera (CTO), on the other hand, have chosen a different approach and decided that strong parallels could be drawn between the original concept and South African urban life in the 1970's.

Wonderful Town is the Tony Award winning musical with a big heart. With music by the wonderful Leonard Bernstein, this production ticks almost every box for a sure fire hit even before entering the theatre. Having taken a variety of different forms over the last decade, Wonderful Town started out as a group of short stories, followed by a book, then a play and afterwards probably its most recognised form in the 1953 film starring Edith Adams and Rosalind Russell - all before it became a successful musical production.
