On October 15, 1964, the ballet world looked to Vienna. Rudolf Nureyev, the most important dancers of the second half of the 20th century, had, at that time 26 years old, developed his version of Swan Lake, arguably the most important work of the entire ballet literature for the Vienna State Opera Ballet. The performance wrote ballet history. Three years after his jump in the West there was a native of the Soviet Union, Nureyev succeeded in enriching the runny on choreographic different lines reception of Tchaikovsky ballets with a new, convincing interpretation. His idea was the appreciation of the male lead and their equality with the game, the ballerina. By 2009, listed more than 200 times in the house at the ring and at guest performances, Manuel Legris now brings Nureyev created fifty years ago, Vienna Swan back on stage. For the new equipment, which is inspired by the fantastical world of the Bavarian King Ludwig II, Luisa Spinatelli responsible.
