She hails from England, lives in Austin, and performs all over the world. As a storyteller, Nason is acclaimed for her spirited re-telling of multicultural folktales and for her personal stories about the contrasting lifestyles of the countries she's inhabited: England, Africa, Arabia, and the US. She has been a Texas Commission on the Arts' touring artist since 2002, traveling the state and telling stories annually to as many as 30,000, both students and adults. For the past five years, she's been emcee/storyteller for Austin Symphony Orchestra's Halloween program and also for their summer series for children. On Tuesday, December 17 and Wednesday, December 18, 2019, she will present her critically-acclaimed one-woman version of A Christmas Carol on this stage. She can be seen in the feature film, Miss Congeniality, and more recently, in Land of Leopold. Nason's memoir, Tea in Tripoli, about her year of living dangerously in North Africa, was published in 2017, and she's working on the sequel about life in the Persian Gulf.
