Peninsula Players Theatre has announced the public launch of its capital campaign, Act II: Protecting the Past, Ensuring the Future. Peninsula Players Theatre has announced that Linda Fortunato succeeded Greg Vinkler as the theater's new artistic director this week. Fortunato was appointed by the Board of Directors earlier this year when Vinkler announced he was stepping down from administrative duties at the end of the 2021 season.

When the theater's 2021 season comes to a close, Artistic Director Greg Vinkler will step down from administrative duties and retire. Linda Fortunato, a dedicated company member of 17 seasons at Peninsula Players, has been appointed associate artistic director and will work alongside Vinkler throughout the 2021 season.

'Silent Sky' tells the story of unsung astronomer Henrietta Swan Leavitt, whose discoveries at Harvard Observatory in the 1890s opened the galaxies above. 'Silent Sky' performs August 21 through September 1.
