American Shakespeare Center has announced that their celebrated Actors' Renaissance Season is extended through May 10 via the company's streaming service, BlkFrsTV.
American Shakespeare Center's celebrated Actors' Renaissance Season, now streaming on the company's digital theatre platform BlkFrsTV, must end April 19 in accordance with broadcast agreements with the performers union, Actors' Equity Association.
American Shakespeare Center announced today that in response to the COVID-19 forced suspension of activities, they will release four productions from their 2020 Actors' Renaissance Season and three productions from their National Tour for streaming through a ticketed system on the company's website.
In a Sunday presentation broadcast from the stage of the Blackfriars Playhouse - the world's only recreation of Shakespeare's indoor theatre - American Shakespeare Center (ASC) Artistic Director Ethan McSweeny announced the fifteen plays produced over three distinct seasons that will comprise the company's 2020 artistic programming, his second year and first full season at the helm.
