A freewheeling queering of Twelfth Night, Illyria reimagines Shakespeare's comedy of mixed-signal love as a bohemian cabaret in an underground queer club in early ’80s Manhattan, where identity, sex, and gender are what you wiill.

Full Cast Has Been Announced For Avant Bard Theatre's Spring Repertory

Avant Bard Theatre has announced the full cast for the launch of their 30th Anniversary Mainstage Season, the Avant Bard Spring Repertory. The Rep features Avant Bard's long-awaited return to Tennessee Williams with Suddenly Last Summer, directed by Artistic Director Emeritus Christopher Henley.

Avant Bard Announces 2019 Scripts In Play Festival

Avant Bard theatre is proud to announce the 2019 edition of Scripts in Play Festival, its signature play-reading series, February 8 to 24, 2019. This year's selection features seven plays over two weekends followed by a weekend-long encore presentation of the 2018 Capital Fringe hit A Two Woman Hamlet in full production.
