Tony Award-winning, Emmy nominated and Peabody Award-winning film, television and Broadway producer Debra Martin Chase (Cinderella, The Princess Diaries, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Cheetah Girls, The Equalizer TV series and many more) will return to The University of Texas at Austin on Monday, Nov. 14, 2022 to discuss her work producing blockbuster projects featuring women and Black voices for TV and movie audiences.

We may be deprived of some of our favorite stage musicals on Broadway, so I have put together a handy list of 6 different movie musicals that you can pop on at home - to keep everyone safe, and to entertain if you are having guests for holiday festivities!

Second Stage Theater’s 2021 Fall Gala will honor Producer DEBRA MARTIN CHASE and Playwright LYNN NOTTAGE at a one-night-only celebration on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers. Ms. Chase and Ms. Nottage are both members of Second Stage Theater’s Board of Directors.

Jayna Sweet (TURNT, LEMONADE MOUTH) stars in Pretty, a new play by Michael Yichao (O'Neill's National Playwriting Conference, finalist). Mike Bash, Thomas L Cunningham, Corrine Glazer, Christie Harms, Rachael Hip-Flores, Ned Thorne, and Aaron Warner (CREDITS IN CAPS) complete the cast under the direction of Dana Luery Shaw at The Pico (10508 Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90064), May 14 and May 16 @ 8 p.m..
