Belvoir presents the premiere of a brand-new theatrical reimagining of cult classic 1977 film Opening Night, starring stage and screen star, Leeanna Walsman, in the Upstairs Theatre from 26th February to 27th March. The John Cassavetes Golden Globe nominated sleeper-hit is given fresh vitality, directed and adapted for the Belvoir stage by Carissa Licciardello following her critically acclaimed mainstage directorial debut and adaptation of another classic work, A Room of Ones Own, at Belvoir in 2021. Myrtle Gordons been a star of the stage for years. Shes loved by audiences, acclaimed by critics. Now shes been cast in the role of a lifetime, and opening night is rapidly approaching but somethings not quite right.
