HEAD OVER HEELS returns to New Line's stage after being shut down early by the pandemic in 2020. The New Liners promised the show would be back, and it is, March 3-26!
What have you been doing during the pandemic? New Line Theatre Artistic Director Scott Miller has been writing a collection of horror stories, all inspired by the musical theatre. Yes, you read that right.
HEAD OVER HEELS is the bold new musical comedy from the visionaries that rocked Broadway with American Idiot, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Avenue Q, and Spring Awakening. Conceived by Jeff Whitty, with an original book by Whitty, adapted by James Magruder, originally directed by Michael Mayer, and set to the music of the iconic 1980s all-girl rock band The Go-Go's, this high-octane, laugh-out-loud love story includes hit songs like, “We Got the Beat,” “Our Lips Are Sealed,” “Vacation,” “Heaven is a Place on Earth” and “Mad About You.”
The musical theatre came roaring back in the 1990s and began a new Golden Age for the art form. And there's a new book that takes you on a guided tour.
