Max & Louie Announce Regional Premiere of LOVE, LINDA

Max & Louie proudly announce the first show of its tenth sensational season with the St. Louis premiere, "Love, Linda" the one woman musical tour de force about the life of the remarkable Linda Lee Thomas (Mrs. Cole Porter) and her dedication and love for a man whose creative genius she indisputably inspired. Music and Lyrics are by Cole Porter with a book by Stevie Holland, arrangements and additional music by Gary William Friedman.

"We are thrilled to have the brilliant Debby Lennon returning to Max & Louie as Linda Porter and the equally brilliant actor, playwright and director Ken Page directing the show," said Stellie Siteman, artistic director.

Linda Lee Thomas was the southern beauty who married and was the driving force behind legendary songwriter Cole Porter at the dawn of the roaring twenties. Though Cole Porter was gay, their companionship and love lasted through 35 years of marriage and a spectacular, glamour-filled life. The timeless music and lyrics of Cole Porter are ingeniously interwoven through "Love, Linda" examining the darker sides of their life, while also celebrating the deep love that blossomed through their unconventional relationship.

As Linda tells us, "Just because a love between two people may be difficult to define, that doesn't mean it didn't exist."

The score includes, "Night and Day," "I Love Paris", "In the Still of the Night", "Love for Sale," and "What is This Thing Called Love?" Greg Schweizer musical directs with Kevin Gianino on drums and Guy Cantonwine on Bass.

"Love, Linda" will run at the Marcelle Theater, 3310 Samuel Shepard Drive in the Grand Center Arts District of St. Louis, Missouri, (3 blocks east of Grand Blvd. with free lighted parking) from January 17th 2019 through January 27th 2019.
