After 11 months of endless speculation, it is finally the night of the show! Tonight at 8:00pm ET, NBC's PETER PAN LIVE! will continue the holiday tradition begun last year with THE SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE! Allison Williams will portray Peter Pan in the highly anticipated PETER PAN LIVE on NBC.The 'Girls' star takes on the role of the boy who refuses to grow up and who is forced to confront the villainous Captain Hook, played by Oscar winner Christopher Walken when the J.M. The classic musical from Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II is the fourth production of Starlight's 2014 Broadway season. NBC's THE SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE!, starring Carrie Underwood as Maria and Stephen Moyer as Capt. Georg von Trapp, is set to air on Thursday, Dec. 5 (8 PM ET) on NBC. On Dec. 3 Sony Masterworks will release the companion soundtrack to NBC's live broadcast of 'The Sound of Music,' based on the classic stage musical. As BroadwayWorld reported yesterday, NBC's upcoming live broadcast of 'The Sound of Music' will feature a handful of Broadway veterans to join previously announced Carrie Underwood and Stephen Moyer. Audra McDonald, Laura Benanti and Christian Borle have signed on to play Mother Abbess, Elsa Schrader and Max Dettweiler respectively. Over the weekend, hundreds of pint-sized hopefuls lined up for a chance to audition for a role as one of the Von Trapp children. Rodgers and Hammerstein's Broadway musical THE SOUND OF MUSIC, which was adapted into a highly successful full-length film in 1965, and won five Academy Awards including Best Director; Best Sound; Best Musical Score, Best Film Editing, and Best Picture, is set to hit the center stage of Resorts World Manila's Newport Performing Arts Theater on October 15 'til December 11.
