The Wildlife Conservation Society honored tonight Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, Vice Chair of the Clinton Foundation Chelsea Clinton, and WCS Trustee Diane Christensen for their commitments to saving elephants and protecting wildlife and wild places. Held at the WCS Central Park Zoo, the event-titled 'An Elephant's Tale'-highlighted the conservation plight of elephant populations in the forests and savannas of Africa and efforts to protect them from the illegal ivory trade.

Cutting Ball Theater continues its 15th season with Alfred Jarry's UBU ROI in a new translation by Rob Melrose. Russian director Yury Urnov (Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company) helms this irreverent take on world leaders. Featuring David Sinaiko, Ponder Goddard, Marilet Martinez, Bill Boynton, Nathaniel Justiniano, and Andrew Quick, UBU ROI plays January 24 through February 23 (Press opening: January 30) at the Cutting Ball Theater in residence at EXIT on Taylor (277 Taylor Street) in San Francisco. History was made in Atlanta, Georgia on May 30 to June 2, 2013 during AfroXplosion 2013 with an impressive turnout of people coming out to see the stage play 'WEDLOCK OF THE GODS' written by West Africa 's first female Playwright, Dr. Zulu Sofola. Following a sold-out event in London's esteemed West End theater district in 2010, 'WEDLOCK OF THE GODS' was ready to be introduced to the American audience.
