The Palace Theater is throwing its doors wide open to the public beginning October 1, to begin its 100th Anniversary Season and what a celebratory schedule of shows is planned! 

Liverpool, UK will host the David Bowie World Fan Convention, taking place across multiple venues in the city between Fri 17 – Sun 19 June 2022. Some of the highest-profile collaborators and friends of the immeasurably influential, yet private musician are already confirmed to attend.

Today, New Diorama has announced their 2021 NDT Reset season, a return to ambitious large-cast ensemble work. Headlining the Reset Season is a five-week Central London transfer of Parabolic’s hit show CRISIS? WHAT CRISIS? (20 July – 21 August).

DACAMERA  announces a return to in-person concerts and recitals for its 2021/2022 season.

Oldham Coliseum Theatre is preparing to welcome audiences back into the historic building from 24 June 2021 as part of an eclectic Summer season combining a return to live theatre, a continuation of innovative online events and an outdoor Pride celebration.

The criteria are that these shows have been nominated for Best Musical from the 3rd Tony Awards (the ceremony that started the Best Musical category) in 1949 to the nominations of what will now be the 74th Tony Awards in 2021. I will be determining their signs based upon their Broadway premiere date. With those rules in mind, here we go!

On Friday September 18, the Aurora Fox Arts Center in Aurora, Colorado will do something it hasn't done since March 12:  host an actual audience of real, live human beings. 

With a small cast of only ten, the simplicity and small scale of Godspell made it an ideal choice to move forward with given current concerns. Performances will take place under a tent in the parking lot of BTG's Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield. To allow for Social Distancing, the audience for each performance will be limited to 75-100.

Theater for the New City presents - TNC 'On The Air,' a live reading of Orville Station by Frank J. Avella (Vatican Falls, Lured, Consent) on Wed., April 15 at 7PM. This will be the first in a series of Live readings on Theater for the New City's Facebook page.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and rediscovery of musical gems from the past, as part of its 50th Anniversary season celebration, will present two added special events during the month of March: York Chat: Musicals in Mufti: 118 and Counting, the second in a series of panel discussions, _An Evening with Sheldon Harnick and Friends_ a special concert featuring Sheldon Harnick, Liz Callaway, and Karen Ziemba. Cortland Repertory Theatre kicks off the 2020 Season at CRT Downtown, 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland with comic Brad Zimmerman in his new show My Rise to the Middle.  The performance, a benefit for CRT, will be held Friday, February 7 at 7:30PM; tickets are $20.00 in advance and $25.00 the day of.  Brad has been called a?oea unique and original voice in the world of comedya?? and promises a night of great laughs and hysterical stories.

Samuel French, a Concord Theatricals Company, announced today that Neil Simon (posthumously), TDF Accessibility Program, and Aleshea Harris are the 2019 recipients of the 4th Annual Samuel French Awards. The Awards, which are accompanied by a donation from Concord Theatricals of $15,000, were created by Samuel French to acknowledge the great work and unparalleled passion of theatre artists, as well as applaud significant contributions to the industry.

On Her Shoulders will present a staged reading of Fatal Friendship by Catherine Trotter, directed by Melody Brooks on Friday, November 8, 2019. Doors open at 6:45pm for a 7:00pm start with The Play in Context by Lynn Marie Macy, who situates the script in its historical time and place, followed by the reading and a post-performance Q&A with refreshments. This October will mark Birmingham Hippodrome's official 120th birthday. To celebrate, the greatest show on earth will come to the city centre with a range of free performances and workshops honouring the theatre's origins as a circus.
