Pi Theatre and the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival present the English Canadian premiere of David Greig's daring play, The Events, January 17 28, 2018 at the Russian Hall (600 Campbell Avenue). Inspired by the 2011 killing of 69 people at a summer camp in Ut ya, Norway, the healing powers of love, forgiveness, and faith are thrown into doubt in one of the decade's most incendiary and important works. The Events showcases Metro Vancouver's vibrant community choir scene with a different choral group performing onstage each night, providing a consoling presence in the face of adversity.

Crowded Fire Theater (CFT), known as a vital home for new play development and production on the West Coast, announced Sara Huddleston, Heather Kelly-Laws, Alice Ruiz, and Randy Wong-Westbrooke as the second year IGNITE FUND awardees. The IGNITE FUND awards $10,000 in total annually to support the growth of and enhance the working lives of Bay Area theater designers and technicians through a competitive grant process.
