This Month, FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club & Private Event Destination, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond.

Storyhouse in Chester has announced the cast for The Little Shop of Horrors taking place at the multi-award-winning venue from 10 May - 2 June.

Performance Space New York in collaboration with Arika and the Whitney Museum of American Art presents I wanna be with you everywhere, a gathering of, by, and for disabled artists and writers and anyone who wants to join in a series of programs that refuse policies of individuation and inclusion in favor of (and in the flavor of) whatever disability aesthetics has in bodymind. This year, a living legend of musical theatre turns 90: Lyricist-bookwriter Tom Jones (who also, under a stage name) appeared in the original company of his most famous and wildly successful record-breaking musical, The Fantasticks. His collaborator, composer Harvey Schmidt, just recently passed away. The production's record-breaking run closed, on January 13, 2002, after 17,162 performances. Their shows also include 110 in the Shade, I Do! I Do!, Philemon, Celebration and many more. And celebration is what it's about when Broadway veterans Carole Demas, who originated the role of Sandy in Grease, and Sarah Rice, who originated the role of Johanna in Sweeney Todd, return to celebrate Jones & Schmidt. Demas and Rice have based the show on their 50 years of work and personal relationships with Tom and Harvey. With very special guest Broadway's Hal Robinson who is also a Fantasticks alumni.

For several years the Harlequin Theater has entertained audiences in the San Antonio area. Located on the Fort Sam Houston Military Base, the Harlequin Theater is an intimate venue that is as charming as it is historic. Currently playing at this gem of a theater is GROOVE, a musical revue taking you back to the days of bright colors and big hair. From the moment you enter the theater, the dim lights and misty fog immerses you completely in the experience and makes you wish you didn't leave your bell-bottoms at home. GROOVE features hit songs from the late-1960's featuring legendary artists such as The Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, and The Beatles. It is hard not to sing along as the cast belts out song after song with seasoned precision. Under Laura Anglin's expert choreography, each song was enhanced with electrifying dance moves, making each number even more fun to watch. From the very first note, the cast exuded a contagious energy that remained until the final bow. It is no secret that the cast and crew put their heart and soul into this show, resulting in an evening of non-stop entertainment sure to bring a smile to your face.

Dear Readers, we're about to enter the realm of my favorite show of all time, that of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken's musical masterpiece "Little Shop of Horrors". I tell you this in advance so you'll understand the gravitas of my critique of anyone attempting this particular show and I've seen many. I've seen touring productions, local productions both large and small, and even one production set in an actual skid row. I even managed to see a certain Encores production with a certain movie star and the original Audrey (sigh). And now comes Reboot Theatre Company with their affinity for non-traditional casting/staging/etc. Add into that the fact that they're performing this at the Slate theater where the stage is about the size of the full-grown plant and this could be a recipe for disaster. And while I may have had a technical qualm or two, what I also saw was a company that understands the show and a production that has more heart in one tentacle than some productions have in their whole plant.
