Joseph V. Melillo, executive producer of the Brooklyn Academy of Music, today announced programming for the 2017 Winter/Spring Season. The season runs from January 11 through June 10 and comprises theater, dance, music, and opera in the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House and the BAM Harvey Theater.

Irish Repertory Theatre and Dot Dot Productions, in association with The American Irish Historical Society, have announced the world premiere of THE DEAD, 1904 - an immersive adaptation of James Joyce's classic story, "The Dead," adapted by the Pulitzer Prize winning Irish poet Paul Muldoon (Moy Sand and Gravel) and novelist Jean Hanff Korelitz (Admission, You Should Have Known).

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Arthur Miller's THE CRUCIBLE will return to Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street) this spring. Bill Camp (as Reverend John Hale), Jim Norton (as Giles Corey), Tavi Gevinson (as Mary Warren), and Jason Butler Harner (as Reverend Samuel Parris) are among those who will join previously announced stars Ben Whishaw (as John Proctor), Sophie Okonedo (as Elizabeth Proctor), Saoirse Ronan (as Abigail Williams), and Ciaran Hinds (as Deputy-Governor Danforth).
