For the fourth consecutive year, AVENUE Q has set a box office record at the John Golden Theatre (252 West 45th St.) on Broadway. The Tony Award-winning Best Musical broke its own box office record -- yet again -- with an all-time high of $665,181 for the week ending December 31, 2006.
Avenue Q will break a 62-year-old record tonight when it becomes the longest-running show in the history of the Golden Theatre. Friday evening will mark its 1,296th performance on Broadway.
