Linda Eder Comes To Van Wezel

Linda Eder, one of the original stars of Broadway's Jekyll & Hyde, returns to Sarasota! Eder boasts a diverse repertoire spanning Broadway, standards, pop, country and jazz, making her one of America's most beloved singers and dynamic live performers. Don't miss this showcase of one of the greatest voices of our time on Thursday, January 17 at 8 p.m. - LIVE at the Van Wezel.

On the 1987 season of "Star Search," Linda Eder won for an unprecedented 12 straight weeks, which drew the attention of audiences and record companies. She launched her recording career in 1991 with her self-titled debut album and released two additional solo albums before starring in the Broadway production of Jekyll & Hyde in 1997. Appearing as the tragic character "Lucy" in this new musical, she captivated audiences at New York City's Plymouth Theatre eight times a week as she belted out her signature songs, "Someone Like You" and "A New Life." Eder was rewarded with a Drama Desk nomination for her Broadway debut.

Linda Eder has released a total of 18 solo albums throughout the course of her career. She has performed for sold-out crowds throughout the United States and Europe, and her voice has filled prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, The Palace Theatre, Radio City Music Hall, Wolftrap, New York City's Town Hall, Davies Hall and more. Eder has collaborated with the likes of the late Oscar-winning composer/pianist, Marvin Hamlisch, Emmy and Grammy Award-winner, Michael Feinstein and conductor of the Boston Pops, Keith Lockhart.
