Jerry Lee Lewis, one of the original Million Dollar Quartet along with Elvis, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins, is one of the all-time best singer-songwriters, musicians and pianists. A true American stylist, he is an architect of great genres such as rock n' roll and rockabilly as well as a commander of country music and the blues. "The Killer" holds numerous awards including Grammys and the Recording Academy's Lifetime Achievement Award. Don't miss the first great "wildman" of rock as he makes his Sarasota debut on Sunday, January 27 at 7 p.m. - LIVE at the Van Wezel!

Jerry Lee Lewis was born in 1935 to Mamie and Elmo Lewis of Ferriday, Louisiana. In November of '56, Jerry Lee made his way to Memphis, Tennessee where he would join Sun Records and launch hits such as "Crazy Arms," "Whole Lotta Shakin,'" and "Great Balls of Fire." Lewis has recorded duets with the likes of Keith Richards, Willie Nelson, Slash, Eric Clapton and more. He has shared stages with Elvis, Chuck Berry, and Johnny Cash, and he was one of the very first inductees to the prestigious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The hit Broadway production Million Dollar Quartet features actors portraying Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and Carl Perkins and the CMT television show Sun Records has become a cult success. The movie Great Balls of Fire! starring Dennis Quaid chronicles Jerry Lee's early life and success, and WWE announced a major pay-per-view special titled Great Balls of Fire after his hit song.
