Head Over Heels is a jubilant musical comedy that injects a modern twist on a classic story. Adapted from the 16th-century prose romance "The Countess of Pembroke's Arcadia" by Sir Philip Sidney, the musical throws in a generous helping of 1980s pop hits by the iconic all-female band The Go-Go's. This creates a unique mashup of Elizabethan themes with infectious pop melodies. The plot revolves around the royal family of Arcadia, facing a prophecy that threatens their kingdom's very existence. The solution? Embark on a wild journey to rediscover their lost "Beat," the source of their prosperity. Expect mistaken identities, gender-bending revelations, and a whole lot of self-discovery, all wrapped up in a hilarious and heartwarming package. The show's energetic music, including hits like "We Got the Beat" and "Our Lips Are Sealed," keeps the audience tapping their toes, while the story celebrates love, acceptance, and the importance of staying true to yourself.
