Don't Be Evil by rising-star playwright Bennett Fisher is a world premiere dark comedy about the surveillance state.
Think The Office meets Guantanamo Bay with a side of Dr. Strangelove.
Don't Be Evil tells the timely tale of William Webster, a genius programmer who creates a new search engine, Alexandria, that breaches national security to supply an answer. Soon, Webster is hauled into a secret interrogation site on domestic soil for questioning by two overworked government inspectors, Hayes and Kavanagh. Hilarity and moral dilemmas ensue as the tech world and the terror industrial complex collide.
Catch this 90 minute (intermission included) world premiere dark comedy 8 pm Thursday through Saturday at PianoFight, SF's Next Landmark Entertainment Venue. Closes October 3.
This show's collaborators both on and offstage brought you last year's acclaimed and hard-hitting revival of Sam Shepard's True West. See the attached teaser trailer.
