With only three weeks until submissions are due for a brand new Musical Theatre Festival (now the famed NYMF), two struggling story tellers -with nothing to lose- decide to try to create something new.
[title of show] -- taken from the space on the festival's application form which asks for the "[title of show]" -- follows four friends on their journey through the gauntlet of creative self-expression. In the span of 90 minutes they write and perform their show at the festival and learn lessons about themselves as people, friends, and artists.[title of show] is, above all, a love letter to the musical theatre -- a uniquely American art form -- and to the joy of collaboration.
The Granite Theatre continues with its soft-opening and return to live stage performances and in-theatre audiences presenting TEA FOR THREE. Performances begin tomorrow night, August 20 and run through September 12.
The Granite Theatre will present the Granite’s FIRST STAGE PERFORMANCE since the pandemic shuttered all theatre venues. Belle of Amherst by William Luce is a one-woman play about the life of Emily Dickinson.
Granite Theatre is at 1 Granite St, Westerly, RI.
