A smidgeon of Twain, a splash of haiku, and a hint of lunar conspiracy, served up on a bed of mixed metaphor and frogs—The Floating World, a new one-man-show by Wilbury Theatre Group Resident Artist Andy Russ that is equal parts pantomime and performance art, presents a series of multimedia meditations on the elusivity of the human experience and the languages with which we try to explain it.
Wilbury Theatre Group will present The Floating World, a world premiere from Wilbury Theatre Group Resident Artist Andy Russ - January 27 through February 5 at the Wilbury Theatre Group Performance Space at WaterFire Arts Center.
Productions planned for the 2021/22 season include Haus of Glitter’s activist dance party Historical Fantasy of Esek Hopkins, the East Coast premiere of Charlie Thurston’s modern meditation on the Icarus tale Lifted, the world premiere of Shey Rivera Ríos’ AntigonX – a queer/Latinx interpretation of Sophocles’ Antigone, and more!

The Wilbury Theatre Group has announced the appointment of Max Ponticelli as the company's new General Manager. In this role, Ponticelli will oversee all operational and administrative aspects for the award-winning nonprofit theatre and will assist The Wilbury Group's Artistic Director, Board, and leadership team in the implementation of the company's mission statement and vision. Ponticelli begins his role as general manager effective September 1, 2019.

Directed by Aubrey Snowden, the Wilbury Group production features Rachel Dulude as astro-physicist Marianne and Wilbury Artistic Director Josh Short as beekeeper, Roland.
