EVENING AT THE TALK HOUSE By Wallace Shawn Announced At Imago

A reunion at the almost legendary club, The Talk House. Still presided over by the kindly Nellie, there's the same genteel atmosphere, the familiar drinks and the special snacks. The playwright, the composer, the actress. The former television star brutally beaten up. The possibility of a pleasant evening.

Wallace Shawn on Talk House: "Plays began as political. The Greek plays were about communities and cities and kings and queens and how a country was run. We went through a brief period in the United States of somehow being so prosperous and secure that we forgot that we lived in the world, and plays were about what was happening in somebody's kitchen."

Jerry Mouawad on Talk House "I never know why I choose a play, but I do go through a long process before selecting one. This one shocked me because it seems like a normal gathering of theatre people at a club, yet what is revealed is most unexpected. The normality of their personalities collided heavily with what they were involved in. I think it was this collision plus all the social political overtones that drew me to the work. A very funny but a very dark work."

Starring Todd Van Voris, Carol Triffle, Nathan Wonder, Danielle Vermette, Jake, Ottosen, Lucy Paschall, David Heath, and Stephen Price.

Light Design by Jon Farley, Sound Design by Kyle Delamarter, Set Dressing by Sarah Andrews.
