The music of Anton Bruckner stands alone, a mighty cathedral of sound. It is built from small sections that repeat and grow inexorably until reaching a shatteringly beautiful climax. Bruckner's meditative music is deeply rooted in medieval mysticism, unfolding slowly and dramatically to reveal its radiant splendor to the patient listener.

To prepare for the experience of Bruckner's spacious music, the PSO first presents The Tallis Scholars, a revolutionary vocal ensemble representing the pinnacle of Renaissance sacred music performance. The Tallis Scholars will set the stage for Bruckner's Fourth Symphony with music from the Renaissance period, including Gregorio Allegri's legendary Miserere.
