Philadelphia Ballet will open its 2023/2024 season with a world premiere retelling of Carmen from Artistic Director, Angel Corella. Corella's reimagined version will captivate audiences with innovative choreography that combines traditional Spanish dance and classical ballet to tell the dramatic love story of a powerful but tragic heroine.
School of Philadelphia Ballet has expanded into Southern New Jersey with the opening of its first satellite school in West Berlin.
Philadelphia Ballet has announced the opening of its 2022/2023 performance season with Ben Stevenson’s Cinderella, the treasured family classic that has captivated audiences of all ages. Cinderella will begin the company’s new season on October 13, running 10 performances only at the Academy of Music, through October 23.
The company has also announced three new PBII dancers as well as several dancer promotions looking ahead to the upcoming 2022/2023 performance season.

Today Pennsylvania Ballet announced a dynamic new season, 'Magic of Stories,' complete with fairytale full length stories, world premieres at the Perelman Theater from choreographers with long-time ties to the company and a sparkling tribute to George Balanchine. Pennsylvania Ballet will also highlight local organizations for each production, including Career Wardrobe and the Audubon Society.
The Kimmel Center Cultural Campus is pleased to announce a diverse array of holiday-themed programming & family-friendly events, including: returning favorites from the Kimmel Center's esteemed Resident Companies like The Philadelphia Orchestra, Pennsylvania Ballet, and The Philly POPS; FREE Gospel events; and opportunity for community outreach & city-wide celebrations like the FREE 15th annual New Year's Day celebration. This year, the Kimmel Center partners with Urban Affairs Coalition for 'Warmth for the Holidays 2019' donation drive, collecting new hats, scarves, mittens and gloves for children and adults. This collection supports Grand Central and Center For H.O.P.E.
The Kimmel Center Cultural Campus has announced a range of sensory-friendly, audio description, and American Sign Language-designed performances across its Campus throughout the 2019-20 season, with presentations from Broadway Philadelphia, Kimmel Center Presents, and two of the Center's esteemed resident companies, including Pennsylvania Ballet and The Philadelphia Orchestra. The upcoming lineup of events promotes the Cultural Campus' mission to engage the region's diverse communities with art through performance and education.
