Bristol Riverside Theatre starts the new year with the American classic On Golden Pond, by Ernest Thompson, running January 22 - February 10. The humorous and heartwarming play is directed by Bristol Riverside Theatre's founding director Susan D. Atkinson. Previews begin Tuesday, January 22, with opening night set for Thursday, January 24.

The cast features BRT favorites Keith Baker (Quartet, Old Wicked Songs) as Norman Thayer, Jr., Eleanor Handley (Lost in Yonkers, Witness for the Prosecution) as Chelsea Thayer Wayne, Michael Satow (Time Stands Still) as Charlie Martin, Danny Vaccaro (The Producers, Rumors) as Bill Ray, and new-comers Jeanne Lehman (Broadway: Beauty & the Beast) as Ethel Thayer and Henry Parker as Billy Ray.

On Golden Pond is a humorous and heartwarming play about love, reconnection, and family. After an unexpected relationship blooms, a family reunites during an unforgettable summer. Come back to the pond one more time and see this American classic.

The production brings together a dynamic creative team including Charles Morgan (scenic design), Linda Bee Stockton (costume design), Conor Mulligan (lighting design), and Bradlee Ward (sound design).

Since 1986, BRT has continued to bring critically acclaimed professional theatre to Bucks County. The theatre is the recipient of over 71 Barrymore Award nominations for Excellence in Theatre, given annually by Theatre Philadelphia. Under the direction of Artistic Director Keith Baker, Founding Director Susan D. Atkinson, and Managing Director Kevin Maroney, the theatre serves as a cultural hub for the community. In addition to its Mainstage productions, BRT offers four concerts including the holiday tradition An American Christmas Songbook, the new play development series America Rising, and the summer theater arts camp ArtRageous. BRT's Mainstage season continues with Neil Simon's The Sunshine Boys (March 12 - March 31, 2019) and The Christians by Obie Award-winning playwright Lucas Hnath (April 30 - May 19, 2019).
