On this day in 2008, Lincoln Center Theater's lavish new production of Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein's prize-winning musical SOUTH PACIFIC, directed by Bartlett Sher, opened at the Vivian Beaumont Theater. 

The lovely cast of My Fair Lady is officially in rehearsals -- and they've posted video to let you in on the fun! 'Our main goal is to get people talking about how this piece relates to what's happening in our society and culture right now,' Hamilton alum Jordan Donica, who plays Freddy, said. Norbert Leo Butz, who plays Mr. Doolittle, added, 'It's kind of a miraculous thing that something that is so entertaining sounds so beautiful and is so funny is about something so deep.

Kelly Hall-Tompkins is the first 'official' fiddler to bring all-new Fiddler solo music which brings the musical's beloved themes from the theater to the concert hall and now to solo CD, 'Kelly Hall-Tompkins: The Fiddler Expanding Tradition,' set for release on January 26, 2018. This week's guests include Oslo playwright J.T. Rogers, director Bartlett Sher, and actors Jennifer Ehle and Jefferson Mays, who portray real-life Norwegian diplomats Mona Juul and Terje Rod-Larsen. All the members of our panel are 2017 Tony nominees for Oslo, which received a total of 7 Tony Award nominations.

Lincoln Center Theater's smash hit production of J.T. Rogers' new play Oslo, directed by Bartlett Sher, re-opens this week at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street), after a sold-out run last summer off-Broadway at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. Everyman Theatre presents the Baltimore/DC Premiere of Los Otros, a timely new reworking of the musical from Tony Award nominees Michael John LaChiusa (music) and Ellen Fitzhugh (book and lyrics). Los Otros opened March 22 for a run through April 23, 2017. Check out a new trailer for the show below!
