Based on the smash hit 2003 film of the same title, School of Rock: THE MUSICAL, with music from the movie, as well as an original score by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyricist Glenn Slater, a book by Julian Fellowes and direction by Laurence Connor, made its World Premiere on Broadway last night, December 6, at the Winter Garden Theatre. BroadwayWorld was on hand to chat with the rockin' company after the curtain went down and you can catch what they had to say below!

Just last month, the Broadway at Birdland concert series presented songwriter Jonathan Reid Gealt, who celebrated the release of his new cd, 'Whatever I Want It To Be,' with a concert at the historic music room starring a bevy of Broadway stars. The cast included vocalists Jane Monheit, Loren Allred, Whitney Bashor, and Addi McDaniel and Michael Deleget. Check out highlights from the concert below.

DREW GASPARINI LIVE, featuring opening act Zack Zadek, will play The Marlin Room at WEBSTER HALL on Monday, September 28th (6pm doors, 7:30pm show). Virginia's Signature Theatre presents the world premiere production of Soon, a new musical by Nick Blaemire (Glory Days, A Little More Alive). Directed by Matthew Gardiner(Signature's Sunday in the Park with George, Really Really), the ensemble piece will feature Alex Brightman (Jonah; Broadway's Matilda, Big Fish, Wicked), Natascia Diaz(Adrienne; Signature's The Threepenny Opera, Broadway's Man of La Mancha), Jessica Hershberg (Charlie; Broadway's Cinderella, Baby It's You), and Joshua Morgan (Steven; Woolly Mammoth's A Bright New Boise, Arena Stage's Fiddler on the Roof).
